The classic Holley 4 barrel double-pump carburetor....nicely detailed with multiple objects.....dimensionally correct within reason.....
Holley is the only modular carburetor company that has been in business for over 100 years and has powered every NASCAR champion since the 60’s. Holley carburetors are probably the most sought-after fuel delivery system for most ’60s and ’70s muscle cars with performance engines. All Holley four-barrels can be identified by their list number on the front of the air horn, just above the air cleaner mounting surface. These numbers always start with an “R” and are six to eight digits long. The most popular replacement four-barrels are the Holley models 4150 and 4160. These carburetors have the same five-inch by 5½-inch bolt pattern. It was the first true performance carburetor and it became standard equipment on many high-performance automobiles.
Both of these models can be single- or dual-feed, and units with vacuum secondaries have a single accelerator pump. Single-feed carburetors usually have a banjo fitting at the fuel inlet and a balance tube running along the side of the carburetor to supply fuel to the secondaries. Dual feed fuel inlets assure you get all the fuel you need while its vacuum secondaries and manual choke make it amazingly universal.
Many carburetor remanufacturers offer Holley replacement parts as well as upgrade items, conversion kits and R&R service. Adapters are also available to convert Holley 4150s or 4160s to spread-bore intakes used on four-barrel carburetors such as Rochester or newer Carter applications.
